I can work with you on a one off project for as short a time as one hour, to short or long term projects of days to years. Whatever your requirements, I can meet them. And because much of my work is consultative or online based, you can be anywhere in the world.
It depends what you want. My skill set is broad and I can advise on any of my areas of expertise. Have a look at my Expertise page and Purchase Time with Victoria to see what’s available.
Yes, I have a number of tutorials offering advice and instructions in many of my areas of expertise. Some are screen capture tutorials, some video blogs, some written blogs and some video tutorials. You can access tutorials from the Blog, it’s one of the categories.
Yes of course, I can work to any budget. I do have a minimum monthly expenditure but I can guarantee it won’t break your budget and if you are prepared for our sessions, what can be achieved in 30 minutes a month, is quite remarkable. I talk fast and will give you lots of information, but I’ll also record in audio and video what I say or show you online so you have a reference to review once we’re done. It will take you most of the time between our sessions to absorb all I’ll impart anyway.
Well that depends on where you live. I live in the Southern Highlands of NSW in Australia so unless you live within two hours drive of me, I’m not going to be driving to you, but I will fly if you want me in your offices. Mostly however, in this digital age, I can do most of the consulting via Skype, a Google Hangout or a a combination of Skype and Teamviewer where I can instruct you if it’s a training session. Unless you adamantly want me with you face to face, this is the best option. If I have to travel, there will be a travel fee and possibly accommodation charges if the travel cannot be done in one day.
Some I personally execute and is done by recruited contractors. But mostly now I consult and set up systems in house for clients, or I teach online so that people can execute themselves.
Could you speak at our conference or do a training session for our staff, executives or board members?
Of course. I have been speaking publicly for many years and even spent time as a professional speaker on the Australian circuit. I originally spoke about communication skills, and although this is still a topic I educate about, my topic repertoire has grown somewhat to incorporate online marketing, multimedia production, content creation and web development. I can even come and talk about nutrition, meal planning and health and fitness. My topic inventory may seem disjointed but it just encompasses my life experiences which have ultimately made me who I am and enabled me to amass the knowledgebase I now have. Have a look at my Keynote Presentations page.
Yes, in most cases I prefer it. It enables me to manage my time better and give you 110% of my focus. When I’m engaged to do short one off jobs, it’s very difficult to really get your teeth into the project. Although the projects may be part of a large picture, unless I’m involved in that larger picture, I can’t always give you everything I’ve got, and sometimes other aspects of my knowledge may even help the larger project. It’s worth having a chat before engaging me to see just how much I may be able to contribute, then we can work together to create a fee that fits your budget and is commensurate with my contribution.
That really depends on what you want to achieve and how much you already know. I generally put people, nicely, into four main categories when it comes to utilizing my services.
- I’ll Do It Myself: These clients like to get their hands dirty. They are happy to be given outlines and they’ll go away and explore all that is offered and figure it out for themselves, they just need to be enlightened as to what’s available and where to look. For this group, an hour or so a month is enough to get the gist and then to go off and pull it all together themselves. This group usually also has time on their hands as they are only generally in the development stage of their business and they have time to work it all out. For this group, an hour a month is usually sufficient to whet their appetite and give them fodder for the next month of exploring.
- Some Guidance Please: These clients want guidance but they also want do some exploring on their own. They’re not as adventurous as the DIM’s and even though they will get stuck in, they want a little more detail so they are sure they’re on the right track. This group is also often less computer literate and therefore much of the jargon associated with the information transferred is foreign. They need a little more hand holding to get the distance. For this group I would recommend at least 30 minutes a week.
- Please Hold My Hand: This group have no idea and no desire to go exploring, they want me to hold their hand all the way and guide them step by step through the muddy online waters. They first need education about the jargon, then they need to be shown how to use a search engine. For this group, it can be a rocky adventure but the results will be worth the anguish. A minimum of an hour a week is required for this group, sometimes a day initially.
- I Have No idea You Do It: This group are already successful and making good revenue but they know they need to take a bigger step into the online marketplace, but they have no idea how to do it nor inclination to learn. They just have me come in and do it for them and train their staff how to carry on when I’m gone. For these clients I have sometimes been on contract for anywhere between 1 day a week to full time for short periods of time, depending on the project brief and time frame to execute.
